It truly feels like the summer has come to a head by the time Crankworx Whistler rolls around. The flagship festival of the world tour, the Whistler rendition is Crankworx on steroids. With ten jam-packed days of both pro and amateur comps, group rides and parties, we couldn't think of a better place to test out our new SS20 Bike range.
So, Mons athletes Conor Macfarlane and Peter Kaiser took their Tarn MTB jerseys to the festival to put them to the ultimate test. We made Tarn with freeride in mind, so we decided to test them in the gnarliest freeride events at Crankworx; the Official World Whip-Off Championships and the Air DH. Then we'd hit Whistler village to see if our merino stayed anti-odour after all that thrashing.
If you're going to test the performance of a freeride merino jersey, you better send it off the infamous Crabapple Hits in the Whistler Bike Park.

For Conor, flying through the air requires a little wind protection. So he opted for the Tarn Freeride Wind Jersey.
Taking place on the world-class A-Line track in Whistler Bike Park, the Air DH is a local and international favourite. Add in that it downpoured on the day of the comp this year and you've got yourself an epic time. Everyone loves a muddy rip on A-Line. Plus, Conor couldn't have asked for better conditions to really put Tarn through the ringer.
With so much happening at Crankworx Whistler, a good MTB jersey needs to be able to go from the trails to the streets. After competing in their events, Conor and Peter were keen to get in on the spectating action.
After wearing their Tarn jerseys for both riding and spectating, Conor and Peter were stoked with how well their merino kept up. And after competing in some of the gnarliest freeride events in the world, it was safe to say that Tarn had risen to the challenge and definitely passed the performance test of Crankworx Whistler.
