WHERE TO SKI

Looming above Fieberbrunn is the Wildseeloder face - Freeride World Tour venue. Certainly not for the faint-hearted, this face challenges the world's top Freeride athletes.

If you're competitive at heart but forgot to bring the spare pair of undies necessary to ski the Wildseeloder, then try your hand at the Ski Circus Challenge.

This on-snow marathon spans 72 kilometres across Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn (try and say that out loud, really fast, ten times).

The Ski Circus Challenge boasts 32 lifts, 12,500 vertical metres of skiing and approximately 7 hours of skiing time. Challenge accepted? Don't forget to log your times online and see if you are truly victorious.

WHERE TO SCHNITZEL

For an apres schi schnitty experience complete with Schlager music*, hit the S4 Alm at the bottom of Fieberbrunn's slopes.

In preparation for this Schnitty/Schlager extravaganza, set your playlist to DJ Otzi and get in the zone.

If Schlager music is not your jam, then set sail around the ski circus where on mountain schnitzels and serenity are aplenty.

*Schlager Music is pop music, reimagined by drunk après ski DJ's with the intended purpose to get people on the dance floor singing loudly after quite some beers.

WHERE TO GEAR UP: KOGLER'S SPORT

Throw it back to the late 90's when competitive Freeride was all colour blocking and wraparound sunglasses. They really knew how to send it back then, and apparently, the parties were better!

Mons Royale Founder Hamish Acland and Kogler's Sport owner Manu Kogler were both in the business of professional freeride. Now Hamish makes merino undies and Manu sells them - dream team!

WHERE TO RODELN

Forget the Autobahn, it's all about the Rodelbahn these days.

Rodeln: The term for tobogganing or sledging in Austria and Germany.

Don't be fooled into thinking that Rodeln is a silly past-time reserved for those aged under ten or of a less-than-freeride- disposition.

Rodeln is gnarly. Just google Rodeln injuries if you need any further proof. Wear a helmet, buckle up and ask anyone wearing Lederhosen:
